Welcome to our Holidays at the Headland page full of exciting ideas and activities you and the whole family can do this Easter. Join us from Tuesday 22nd – Sunday 27th April 2025.

Tuesday 22nd April – We will be down at the Headland Playground from 10 – 2pm with sporting activities, games and play activities. There will be walks for all abilities and even a Mini Trail for even the youngest participants. Explore Hartlepool will also be down there handing out free activity pack and competition goodies!

Friday 25th April – Jack of Hearts will be running a Headland Story Trail with local Headland characters Fish Annie and Rime of the Submerged Forest. Can you find the characters and get a photo with them? There are prizes to win throughout the week. Find us at the Borough Hall from 11am. 

Did you know.. there is a FREE Holidays at the Headland Activity pack available to collect from the Headland Sports Centre or the Heugh Battery Museum Café. We will be sharing ideas and things to do throughout the Easter Holidays using this guide for you and the kids to do that won’t break the bank.

Holidays at the Headland Launch

Hartlepool Sport will be taking over the Town Moor Playground from 10 – 2pm with sporting activities, games and play activities. There will be walks for all abilities and even a Mini Trail for even the youngest participants. 

Explore Hartlepool will also be down there handing out free activity pack and competition goodies! There might even be our newest Explore Hartlepool member down at the Headland that you could win and take home. Welcome Hartley the Hartlepool Monkey!

Did you know there is a seed planting guide in your activity pack?

This is the perfect time of year to plant sunflower seeds, so why not give it a go and see how tall yours can grow.

Tomorrow Jack of Hearts with be down at the Headland for their Story Trail. Collect an activity pack and map from Explore Hartlepool outside the Borough Hall from 11am.

Join Explore Hartlepool and Jack of Hearts CIC for the Headland Story Trail featuring well know local characters Fish Annie and Rime of the Submerged Forest from 11:30am.    

Find a map of the walk in your activity pack or download LetsARGo from either the Google Play or Apple App Store. Visit all the points and get your photo taken with the characters for the chance to win a special goody bag full of prizes.

Email your photos to tourism@hartlepool.gov.uk to be entered into the prize draw.

Remember: The packs are free to collect from the Heugh Battery Museum Café or the Headland Sports Centre free of charge.
