Seaton Carew Golf Club
The 10th oldest club in England, Seaton Carew Golf course offers a Championship links layout, presenting a challenging test of golfing ability with plenty of twists, turns, dunes and bunkers.
The three championship standard layouts at Seaton Carew are hugely popular with golfers, no doubt because of the range of abilities they cater for, neither beginner nor experienced players will feel out of place. It makes full use of its dunes, bents and gorse so that it appears easy on the eye but hard on the scorecard.
All of the courses are fairly long, the Old course measures 6633 yards, Micklem 6594 yards and the mammoth Brabazon at 6920 yards . Good stamina is essential to see you round these 18 holes, as is good concentration and accurate hitting. The greens are extremely testing and very well protected, so your short game will be tested to the limit. (Please note that only one of the above layouts is in play at any one time)
