Ward Jackson Park
Named after one of the town’s founders, Ralph Ward Jackson, Ward Jackson Park is one of the most original in the North East region. In fact, it is listed in the National Register of Historic Parks & Gardens because of its collection of Victorian and Edwardian features. The park has been previously restored to its original splendor complete with a magnificent lake set in its Victorian landscape. Facilities include angling, bowls, putting, band concerts, water fountain and flower gardens.
For the more wild at heart, why not visit the Woodland Walk to enjoy the fascinating wildlife the park has to offer, or the play area which contains plenty of activity stations to occupy the liveliest of children.
